World’s 3 Most Venomous Snakes

1. Black Mamba

This is a very common snake by name and look. Even to those who have never seen it, they are aware that a black mamba does exist somewhere. Found in Africa, the snake is rated as the fastest land snake in the world at a speed of approximately 20km/hr. A single bite by this snake conveys averagely 100-120mg of venom. Such a single bite is said to be enough to kill about 10-25 adults. Its venom is a fast acting neurotoxin. Depending on the nature of the bite, death can result at any time between 15 minutes and 3 hours.

2. Tiger Snake

Tiger snake belongs the the family of venomous snakes, this snake found in various parts of Australia. Depending on the region in which they are found, the colours of the snake do vary but have all a significant similarity to a tiger hence the name. Just like the black mamba, the tiger snake contains the neurotoxic venom. However, death from a bite can happen within 30 minutes though there are cases where it may take between 6-24 hours. While other snakes will most likely attack when apprehended, the tiger snake will in most circumstances take off when encountered, but can become hostile when cornered. Amazingly, it strikes with unmistaken accuracy.

3. The Philippine Cobra

Found in the Philippines, its venom is highly toxic when compared to other cobra species. The venom is neurotoxic and such spit goes up to 3 meters away. It is one of the most venomous snakes in world. Its venom directly affects the cardiac and respiratory functions causing respiratory paralysis followed by death within half an hour.
